Aspen Leaves

Bucketful

Both of these paintings are acrylic on 30” X 12” canvases.  I bought 3 of these canvases as a challenge to see what I could paint using this very vertical format.  The lines in the aspen leaves are the tracks left by a caterpillar that eats its way between the top and bottom layers of the leaves.  The nasturtiums grow in a bucket that is on a post at the top of our driveway.  Aspen Leaves was painted in 2011, and Bucketful was finished in Feb. of 2012.
